Hi you did not say which drill setting for drilling in this video.
I did this on my 2017 BMW with the infamous black trim and it worked well, I can still see scratches under a light but I think it’s because I tried to use regular compound and polish first. Start light on these interiors
Does anyone know why all Brass Pop Rivets don't exist? The closest I can find are Brass Mandrel and Copper Head. Wakodahatchee Chris
How do you remove a carriage bolt when you have no access to the nut side? I’m trying to remove a bunk bed that someone used carriage bolts on and I have no way of taking them off. What I’m looking at seems to defy physics. I see the top of the carriage bolt, but somehow a goat must’ve phased into the metal pole to tighten it from the inside of the pole. There’s also no opening in the top of the pole to get down to it.
Thanks
Very good, thank you!
Thanks you! I learned a lot from this video! Keep it up!
I used them to hold a LED camp strip light to underside of fiberglass ute tub hard cover ,couldn't use nut rivets as fiberglass layer on underside is very thin ,
Torx head screws are very nice to use with the correct size Torx driver. Their disadvantage is that, unlike a Phillips, Robertson or Pozidriv, the head of the driver isn't tapered, so there's no leeway. You have to use the exact right size, and if it's a choice between say a T27 and a T25, or a T9 and a T8, that can be tricky to determine. Look at a typical driver bit set - you'll have two or three sizes of Phillips and eight or nine sizes of Torx.
You're using both hands to tighten it down. Most people use these where they have zero access to the back side.
The sharp edges are exposed, why you don't turn them to inner side with a nose plier?
What advantage is there to using the shaver tool vs a flush cutter and a couple pases with a hand file to smooth it out? That tool seems like a huge hassle and expense for no clear gain.
what about when doing this on the sealing floor where water might go in? What can you put in to seal it so it’s water proof?
I'm confused... You didn't explain where the lock washer goes. Against the nut? Or against the flat washer?
BINGO BABY LETS GO
Great video. Thanks for creating it..... Question. I am about to use a wedge anchor bolts in concrete footings for a deck project. In my case they are Red Head TruBolt brand. I drilled the holes too deep and the entire 5" bolt can sit in the hole without touching the bottom. I will also be using Anchor fix epoxy in the holes. Will these bolts still work if they are not touching the bottom? My fear is that when I tighten the bolts they will simply rise straight up as the nuts are tightened without pulling the expandable bottom into the sleeve.
Wow. I can't believe you have to remove a panel to do this.
Thank you so much! I think this is going to help a LOT!!
It's so difficult to thread it through with the small wrenches provided with the furniture kit! I need to get me some decent tools in the near future
Useful.
Thank you so much for your detailed steps! All done!
Uuuuuummmmmmm......... Uuuuuuhhhhh...........
What's the drill diameter
Does this one comes with M 2.5 size ??
So sad
Lol
Thank you. Especially for saying the tools needed, now I know what to rent so I can get this project done.
Don’t you mean hex head cap screw?
I think you want to drill a hole the same diameter as the anchor. People usually specify diameter. Circumference is the length of a string that wraps around and is equal to the diameter that Mrs PI which is about 3.14. Don’t drill a hole with a diameter equal to the circumference of the anchor.
i use A2 AISI bolts and nuts M8x1.25 on exhaust and i do not have that problems
Song in the beginning?
I was wondering about this Bob
Thank you 🙏
Hi I'm adding cobblestone edging can I just do a dry pour set the cobblestone in then wet it?
Great video. Thank you. Is there a way to adjust the amount of thread exposed without the sleeve of the anchor also sticking out? I just placed some, and i had less thread than i would like due to tapping the sleeve flush with concrete Thanks again
If I screwed up quarter 20 bolt how do I know what size helicoil to get do I have to drill it out to what size so I can use quarter 20 again or will I have to go to a smaller bolt
Absolutely love it and great info. Selling my truck and doing a good detail, this helped wonders! Greatly appreciate it!
I want to thank you so much for this. I had 2 plumbers come out. One was going to charge 3200 and said it was a terrible water heater, the next one said I needed to call Rinnai to get a temp gauge! I went online and saw your video and my husband fixed it in 2 minutes. The only issue is it takes forever to get hot water in our sink. It is the furthest away but we have a dinky home. We have old galvanized pipes (70) years , so getting those replaced. Thank you again!
What size hole do I drill for 3/16 rivet ?
bolts united star number one
that's 14 minutes I will never get back. Is 6 slashes better than 3? He tells you what the grades are, but what grade is better than the other.
How wide is ur leveler?
I have drawers like these but the soft close isn’t sticking anymore. Is it possible to repair these runners… they are so expensive to replace!
Good fkn idea! We all hate stripped screws.
I use 18 m bit and not 16 the hole is big wat i can use for it
Would the rubber band method work with a screw driver only? I don't have my screw driver here
I have learned to use an old rag (one complete wrap) before apply tools to prevent digging and scratching on the shower head. I do this for removal as well if I am re-suing the shower head. It keeps the nut from looking all raggedy. The tape wrap goes clock wise, it should always go in the same direction as either the nut or the unit you would be attaching. The tape wrap doesn't have to be perfectly lain down on the threads, it's more important to get a few good wraps at least.
Night mare without vice and rachet
I would recommend a piece of rubber (a cut piece of hose works great) to prevent thread damage in a vise.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!
